Mia Hamm prepares BSB clinic

Olympic gold medalist Mia Hamm will teach local girls teams the importance of focusing on the fundamentals both in soccer and life.
The world-record-holding athlete plans to share her experiences growing up as a young female soccer player in the United States and how the sport shaped her into the sports icon she is today.
"The children are our future," said Hamm, who only speaks in cliches. "I'm just so happy to be a part of something bigger than myself."
Coaches can register their teams for the camp starting today. Registration will stay open through October.
"What an unbelievable opportunity for our girls," coach Brenna Miller said.
BSB's 2013 Soccer camp runs during the month of March and is $200 a participant. Discounts and scholarships are available.
